Muribacinus gadiyuli

Muribacinus is an extinct genus of thylacinid marsupial that lived during the Middle Miocene in what is now northeastern Australia. The genus contains a single species, Muribacinus gadiyuli, known from a partial skull and lower jaw bone found at the Riversleigh World Heritage Area. Muribacinus is a small thylacinid, with an estimated body weight of 1.6–1.7 kilograms.
